NEARLY THERE WITH AUTUMN BLOCK, MY LARGE EARRINGS

I'm nearly finished now with the Autumn Block, I don't like them to go on for too long as I lose interest and they sit on the shelf for months before getting finished.

One trapunto Oak leaf fills in the last hole, decorated around the edge with acorn buttons.

The tree looks to me as though it needs something else, not sure what but am working on it.

Something you didn't know about me is that I have always loved large earrings (even before they became fashionable )  and I don't feel complete unless I have them on .
These were found years ago on a stall at a seafront fair and I just love them, especially right now in the Autumn.

  1. the blocks are beautiful, will we get to see the whole thing when it is finished? you are so talented. my hubby loves long earrings, he likes the dangling ones best. but i have no neck and a doulbe chin and they touch me and drive me nuts, even small dangly ones.. i used to never go out of the house without earrings, but mine were small. i have not worn any since the day i retired.

  2. Very pretty blocks. I love the colours. Short hair calls out for big earrings. I'm with you on that one. Deb

  3. This quilt gets more and more special and beautiful. I love the way you are doing the embellishments. It will need hung up, too pretty to actually use! It would be gorgeous as wall decoration in the fall. And such pretty fall leaf earrings! I did not know you love earrings. I think I must be the only woman on earth who does not have pierced ears!
