WHAT'S TOM UP TO NOW.

I heard a few curses coming from the next room and went to see what was going on.

Oh dear, he's sewn his patches on the wrong way and is having to unpick.

Now he's just realised that I'm taking photo's of him at work . lol

Look at this, all neatly lined up and labelled, unlike my room that often looks as though a bomb has hit it.  Mr.T is of the methodical sort and likes things orderly (how on earth have we managed to get along for nearly 50 years ???)

Almost there, just another couple of rows and he'll be ready for the wadding and backing fabric.

So, on seeing him nearly completed, I though I'd better drag my chevrons out and try to finish this quilt.  It won't take long its just that I'd rather be making another block.

  1. How cute those pictures are! Your quilt tops are sooo pretty and the room looks great (unlike mine). I was thinking and hoping there is something I could paint over it too. I copied the picture at home and then used this glue like stuff to transfer it. My husband said that maybe it was the ink used on home computer because it is not as permanent as print shop ink. So that may have been where I went wrong.

  2. Can't think what might happen if my husband should take up quilt making. With his background in construction he'd be good at cutting and layout--stitching? I don't think I want to go there, but can surely appreciate your Tom's work!

  9. he is doing so well and his first quilt too. Good that you have the room to have a room each, I do all my stitching in the kitchen which can be a bind but it is warm with the small oven lit and it means I have to tidy up at the end of a session.

  13. Good for your husband for sewing a quilt. I think that your husband is a keeper. My husband can sew a button on his shirt but I don't foresee that he wil pick up sewing and quilting soon, lol.
