POORLY DOGGY

Today is a lovely sunny day and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will be the same tomorrow as we like to visit the local car boot.
It's situated on the top level of the Marina car park right on the seafront so if it's cold and windy its not the ideal place to be wandering about.

These pictures are from last week and I was taken with this poor old doggy who was in bad need of a refurb.

This was from a time when toys were stuffed with straw and frames were made of metal.
I just wanted to bring him home and mend him, but that's just me, all soppy and sentimental. lol
I didn't ask how much he was but I bet he was a tidy amount.

  1. Hello:
Oh dear, what a very sorry state he is in and, most likely, is in need of more than a little loving care.
We have 'Trevor' who is kept in our Brighton flat. A picture of him is to be found on our sidebar which, if you care to click, will take you to see him at home!!
    Have a lovely weekend.

  3. The dog looks like he could use a new fur coat. It's probably a good thibg that you didn't took him home because I think that the cats would not be very happy.lol.
    Have a great weekend.
    Hugs.

  6. I have a woodstraw stuffed teddy bear too!

I remember those dogs on wheels from childhood days. That poor thing would take a lot of time and skill to resurrect!

  7. I was afraid to read the post until i saw the photo. poorly doggy made me think someone had a dog sick.. this big guy is definitely sick and in need of surgery
we were talking about the Mustang Flea Market that we loved to visit in St Pete... it was a car boot. we bought so many nice things there. people would park there cars and open the trunks, boots to you, and also sell out of the back of pick up trucks.... best kind of sale.

  8. I can empathise, despite never having renovated such an item I'd have been pushing him homewards with me as well!

  9. Looks like he could do with a new skin graft. If doggy is there this week ask how much, then knock him down. It would be a good project.

  13. I envy you having a llocal car boot sale. My teddy is stuffed with straw and is looking very poorly too but he is nearly 67 so he has done well

  14. My sister had one of those. I used to love whizzing around on it when I was little, and pulling it along. I wonder where it is now. We called him Bob Tail.
