THIS TAKES ME BACK..

Stumbled on this whilst looking for a vintage baby print.
Took me back a few years to when I religiously rolled my hair up each night and slept on them, and they had spikes. lol  How on earth I did that I don't know, but the hair had to look just right.
I remember when the old Telephone boxes had mirrors in them and I used to go in them to make sure the hair looked okay. lol

But weren't the hair styles so lovely then.

  1. i slept in those brush rollers for years and it was not comfy. then i went to the pink sponge rollers, not much better but some. at last they came up with heat rollers in the little box and i used them... now i have a curing iron but only flip the bangs. big hair is coming back THEY say

  2. I'm happy that we DON'T have those hairstyles! I'd never manage to cope with styling my hair.

  3. Those were the days when women had time to visit the hairdresser every week! (I never could do rollers. I couldn't make the ones at the back go in the right direction.

  4. YES, I think they all look so good! Today it seems that MESS is the new style! I slept on all different kinds of rollers. Including what they called "beer can rollers" because that was their size. HOW did we do it??

  6. Those were the days (or were they).

Brings back lots of memories of sleeping in curlers.

NowadaysI just hope my hair gets through the night still looking reasonable.

  8. The worst was when I was a kid and my mom insisted on going out with curlers in her hair. I was always so embarrassed....lol

  10. Long or short hair, and I've had both, I won't have a hairdo that takes longer than 5 minutes a day!

  11. I used to sleep in pink plastic foam rollers. How I did that, I'll never know. My mom put Toni perm rods in my hair when I was in kindergarten so I had the Shirley Temple look for school photos. As a teenager, I always used hot rollers. Now, I'm all quick and easy ... wash, blow and go. :) Have a great weekend. Tammy
