I have just started reading your blog - you are a lady after my own heart! I also feed afox and stray cat which gives me great pleasure! SueM
Is all that food for one fox? He/she is feasting! And looks like you and Tom are on starvation rations! That comes with tea, I hope?We had to quit feeding outdoor critters because of the stray cat over population in our area. There got to be too many of them and then they got a severe and deadly respiratory disease. We have to keep our guys inside all the time so they do not come in contact with the virus. So many people in our area don't newuter and spay and let their kitties mate indescriminately.
Yes, it comes with tea Pat, lolWe have more than one fox coming, they all take a bit each, I have never seen one fox eat the lot in one sitting. When they have the cubs they carry mouthfuls away and keep coming back until its all gone.I'm not sure if our visitor is a stray or just an opportunist. Tom thinks he sits on his owners lap until about 10.45p.m. and then pops round for a top up. lol
Tom's probably right. There are some really cool videos on utube showing people and their fixes.
Your fox and stray cat are very lucky to have a sweet lady like you. There was a fox pair at the farm where we deer hunt. I always got excited right about dark hoping to get to see them. My camera zoom was not good enough to get a good picture of them. Maybe I'll have a new camera this year.Currently we have 4 strays that are frequenting our house at meal times. We have 8 cats in 4 large cages/runs (2-1-2-3) in our parking shed. 2 cats in the house. And 3 of our own outside barn/yard cats.I feed the strays and my hubby laughs.
Oh my! Are you both on a diet? The animals are for sure eating much better than you guys! You really do have a heart of gold. Have you ever seen the fox eating? Wouldn't that be awesome. Is he a little red one? Does he get the cats all riled up?
Yes, they are red, some redder than others, most of them have such lovely faces, they have such a bad press. We often watch them coming in the cat hole in the gate, sometimes they stop and eat and sometimes they take it away. I never get fed up with seeing them Ginny
I can see your jigsaw puzzle floor. Very nice.
Loved this post. x Would you feed a rat tho? Which we appear to be doing with our bird feed. :(
Looks like the fox has the biggest appetite
You have a wonderful heart. Bless you!
such well fed foxes, we used to have one but not seen it since they built on the field opposite my house.
