DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE.

Recently our daughter spent a couple of weeks holiday in Turkey.
She was worried about her little sparrows not having their seed and so we offered to go out to her house every other day to refill the bird feeders.

The weather was lovely and so we spent a bit of time sitting in her garden.

And look what we saw.  A little mouse gathering up the loose seed and nuts and scrambling back under the fence to next door.
I haven't mentioned it to her yet.

  3. nice to see the seeds did not get washed away here I saw a rat feeding off scraps it then went into next door and fortunately Malcolm caught it at least having a mouse means no rats about they say mice keep clear of rat areas. I put an apple out for the blackbirds everyday too and some grapes the other day which they loved

  5. Maybe the mouse is looking after next door's feeders and is using the cast-offs to fill it. Probably not.... We have a mouse gnawing through our windfalls at the moment. I've not managed to photograph it yet, so impressed that you caught yours on camera.

  6. Ha-ha! Clever little mousey. I came back last summer from the States to find we had many mice living on our second floor balcony. Something we've never had before, but with major renovation by our neighbor downstairs, I'm guessing he upset their former little home.

  7. They know where the food is. I see them run out of holes and grab spilled horse feed in the barn.

  8. You did make me smile. So it's not only the birds that are being fed.
