I LOOKED AHEAD

Remembering what the summers have been like recently and knowing how hot we get I decided to get a new fan well in advance of the hot weather.

I've been waiting to use it and its proving to be worth the outlay.
The best thing about this fan is that it has a remote control so I can lay in bed and turn it on and off or change the speed.
It has dual rotations up and down and side to side, a timer and can easily be carried from room to room by a handle that flattens on top.
It was a little bit more expensive than a normal fan but well worth the extra.

Princess lays on my bed all day and has given her nod of approval.
Note the casual paws.

  1. I've been tempted to go out and buy a fan. I don't have air conditioning and only have ceiling fans in the house. So far it hasn't been too unbearable but I'm sure hotter days are coming.

  2. I bet that's a streetwise cat paw sign that has some esoteric meaning.

  3. Looks like a handy little fan. We just had some work done on our air condition compressor. It started to freeze up. No wonder since it is above 40 C every day now. :/

  4. Brighton and Hove Albion have got lots of fans. I guess that Tom Senior is your biggest fan, closely followed by Tom Junior and the cats. "One Mrs Cater! There's only one Mrs Cater!..."

  5. Our fan has been a Godsend these past few days. We switch it on just before we go to bed so it has chance to cool the room down a bit. Wish it was remote control though. That would be very handy indeed

  6. If I've learned anything in my lifetime it's this: you get what you pay for. You offer yet another example of that, Briony. I'm so happy this fan is working well for you... and Princess. :-) Love, Andrea xoxo

  7. I love your posh fan! I have one in my conservatory but it doesn't help much. Have a great weekend. :) cc

  8. Love the cross paws. Big boy loves our fan it looks very similar to yours but no remote and I can't tell you how many times I have it on and I go to bed and I want it either turned up or turn down or off and have to get up and go do it. Man sits on the floor because my husband hates fans and I need the noise and the air circulating because he keeps the house too hot and I need the air

  9. A good fan is essential! We have one that our previous landlords left us, and I love it. It weighs about 30 pounds but it's well made!
