YUK, BUT I AM SO HAPPY

Last night Rupert was not bothered about eating, not to worry though as it was quite hot and the others were not too bothered about food.

This morning though he still didn't eat much.

This afternoon he coughed this up.

sorry if it is a bit distasteful but I can't tell you how happy this makes me.

It is a fur ball 3 inches long.

This means that we can sleep easy for a while knowing that nothing is stuck inside.

I'm not really a worrier but I do worry about Rupert. All the time he's eating and drinking we know all is well but when he gets mopey and picky I worry.

So, yes, I'm a happy bunny right now. lol

  3. Wow, that's one heck of a fur ball to cough up. Poor Rupert, no wonder he didn't feel like eating. Glad he was able to cough it up.

  4. What wonderful news! It is so good that he could cough it up himself! Now you can rest well. I bet this was one of the best gifts you have ever been bestowed with.

  5. Yes, that "sausage" is better out than in, for certain! Rupert should feel better now. Do you brush him very often? I've got to get a better brush for Goldie, as the one I'm using isn't doing too much. Love, Andrea xoxo

    1. Yes we do but not much comes off, his fur seems to come out in lumps when he scratches. He has a medicine each day that helps and fur ball biscuits but other than that we just have to be optimistic.

  11. Way to, Rupert! Hairballs are gross, but so much better on the floor than inside the furry little body.

    1. Such a relief Pat, we spend all our days worrying about this lovely boy. The others spit up small one's with no trouble but he has so much trouble. Lately he's getting wise to the Lactulose and is being picky with the food that has it in it. I'm going to get him some fresh fish and see if he can still detect it in that. The lengths we go to for our cats, lol Hope you are both managing to get through each day, it's note easy is it?
      Hugs, Briony x

  12. I don't remember Rupert's namesake - Rupert the Bear - coughing up fur balls in any of my Rupert annuals. It looks like a furry sausage. I can understand your relief.

  15. Our short haired cat coughs more hair balls than our long haired. Although you wouldn't think it Millie, the short haired moults way more, you always know where she's been lying!
