SHiSHA EMBROIDERY AND PINK LIPS

I am about to do some Shisha embroidery on my book cover but have forgotten how to do it.   That's what happens when we get more mature, we forget but don't worry I'm still okay otherwise.
I'll have to get a Youtube video up and have a practice before I start.
The mirror is stuck on to stop it moving, it will add a bit more bling.

I have selected a nice variegated orange for this, it just jumped out at me as being the right colour.

This is slightly thicker than ordinary embroidery floss.
DMC cotton perle 51

I'll leave you with Rowan looking all inscrutable.
By the way, she is the only one who wears lipstick, lol
The only one with pink lips, the other's are all black.

Sun is shining and looks like we will have a lovely day.
Have a good weekend

  3. Glad that you are back and well, and that the silence was just down to a chronic but recommended bout of laziness! x

  5. I've forgotten if I ever knew how to do Shee Sha embroidery. My intuitions suggest not.

  6. Sun shining? Hell's bells! Up here in The Republic of Yorkshire there's a thick blanket of cloud and fog on the moors west of us. Bloody miserable!

  7. YouTube tutorials have saved our hides over here many times. One of the few nice things about technology. I had never heard of Shee Sha embroidery but it sure is gorgeous in that picture! ~Andrea xoxo

  9. Whenever I do crochet I always have to go look things up because it's usually been a long time since I've done any. That book cover is going to be so pretty.

  13. Re Rowan: Cats can manage to look so bored and distanced when it suits them. Inscrutable is a good term!
