I don't think my kitchen is very normal as standards go. It's not really a fitted kitchen although there are some units, in fact its a bit of a mish mash but full of colour and that's how I like it.
Recently my daughter gave me a 2 seater sofa and I decided to put it in the kitchen, I'm so please I did as we now spend a lot of time in it.
We need to repaint the wall as the old freezer was a lot bigger and as you can see we took the lazy way out before and painted around it. lol
But the wall above the sofa was in need of something and the idea of a mirror came to me on Sunday.
As we were car booting on Monday we found just what we wanted and paid only £5.00 for it.
Some daisy lights that I have had for ages were bought down from the work room and put around the edge and he presto a bit more colour for the kitchen.
Notice how Rupert has to get in on the act.
and here we are lit up at night.
It doesn't take much to please me does it?
This so made me laugh. You've got a madly, wildy colourful kitchen yet you focus on the daisies that I had to look for in all that colour....just brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI love your sofa and the daisies lit up at night look wonderful. I'd be a very contented person too especially if your furry photobomber snuggled up for a cuddle. Enjoy!
As long as you are happy with your kitchen it doesn't matter if you have fitted cupboards or not!! It is quite a new phenomenon really anyway! It is lovely to add splashes of colour to your home isn't it. xx
ReplyDeleteYou have a very cheery kitchen
ReplyDeleteKitchens have to be happy places..we spend so much time in them!

Your kitchen looks such a happy and cheerful place. Ours isn't fitted either - bits and pieces of furniture given to us or collected by us. I think you'd describe our kitchen as 'individual' - and why not? I'm all for individuality!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week
Best wishes

our homes are for US not others and I like what you have done. i love your cabinets with the wire in the doors and the blue dishes behind. and you gave me and idea... i can put the crockpot on the little oven if i buy one.. i like your puzzle floor to.. and i love your selfie in the mirror..
ReplyDeleteI have always liked the concept of a 'live-in' kitchen--room for more than food prep or eating. In the big farmhouse we are now calling home, there is room in the kitchen for my rocking chair and all the cats!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see that mine are not the only felines that are involved in everything that goes on.
I have a kitchen with upper and lower cabinets, a fine setup. BUT, I have a riot of color in there, just like I like it. I like yours, too.
ReplyDeleteI lpove those flowers around the mirror. You have 'my kind of home'.
ReplyDeleteI love your jigsaw flooring!
