Recently I bought some Toile de Jouy quilted bedspreads. These bedspreads were a little too wide and so I cut them to fit as I wanted. The left over pieces were made into small squares to put on the end of each bed as the cats like to sleep on the ends of the beds during the day ( and night, much to our annoyance, but we're to stupid to push them off )
It clearly didn't work did it?
Princess decided to wrap herself up in it.

I bought the bedspreads to cover the duvet's to keep them clean, then made the squares to keep the bedspreads clean, I think I'm going mad.......
What I need is paper duvet covers that I can throw away every couple of weeks. Problem solved.
The things we go through to keep our furbabies happy....lol It was a nice try. Maybe you consult with the cats to see what solution would work for them :)

ReplyDeleteI am laughing--because I use old comforters or bits of bedspread as quilt protectors--and it does seem as though we always need yet one more layer. I think you've nailed it with the idea of throw-away paper covers--should they be soft and quiet or something which would rustle and crumple?

I have Alfie staying, he likes a fleece to lie on so have one I bought from primark that covers the bed for him, mind you he tried to get into bed with me last night. Still every time you blog opens I think I am seeing a puppy on the windowsill, such a realistic looking puppy
