I have decided to have a go at some ribbon embroidery for this glasses case and thought Wisteria would look nice over the top.
I haven't done much ribbon work and so it is a bit experimental
I found a site that does the ribbon work in white ribbon and then colours the ribbon in afterwards, I think this is more effective that using coloured ribbon as more subtle shades can be made.
GORGEOUS, fine and delicate work. Beautiful colors! We have a wisteria tree out back that Phil trained from cuttings.
ReplyDeletebeautiful and I love real wisteria, my aunt had it on all her fences when I was a child
ReplyDeleteI really like the looks of that. That's a good idea to color the ribbon after you're done
ReplyDeletelove your wisteria, interesting about the ribbon, wonder how they colour it best of luck, can see the advantage as you only need to buy white
ReplyDeleteLovely! How do they colour the white ribbon? With dyes painted on?
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. You talented ladies continue to amaze me!
ReplyDeleteI love wisteria you always pick the best things :)
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, I found your blog via Sandra/MadSnapper, Ann, and Cat Lover. Like you, I have 5 cats, so I had to visit! I have never done ribbon embroidery but I do so love it. I also love wisteria! Nice to meet you. Mildred, Georgia
