BIG PAW, LITTLE PAW + CATS OF COURSE

Just a couple of crochet cat paws that I was doodling about with.  I think they are cute. I didn't make them for any real purpose other than I liked them, I wonder what they could be used for?
Here is where you can find out how to make them

The two R's,  Rowan and Rabbit.

And a litter of cats, only 1 missing.
They just love to be near us all of the time.
How can we not love them to bits.

  1. Cute cat paws. I don't know how big they are but they look like they would make good coasters

  2. Trivets for hot dishes or pots? (The hot dish or pot doesn't then scratch or burn the counter or table top), coasters, the front of a tea cosy? Your cats are beautiful. How did they find their way into your home?

  3. Put a back on it, stuff it, pin cushion. Or use them for embellishing a cushion. Corner to corner like a cat has walked over it and left it's prints. Love your cats.

  4. e's comment about trivets made me think of what I call pot grabs, probably most people say pot holders, but they would need to be thicker.

    1. the largest is only 9cm across the widest part so I think maybe a bit small for a pot grab but maybe they would come up bigger in a thicker yarn, this was cottn dk.

  6. The paws are adorable! You could use them to put your hot drinks on. You could also make a couple more in different sizes and frame them!

  8. I love the cat paws. The bigger one looks like it could be used as a coaster. And the smaller one maybe to embellish a gift bag filled with kitty toys. I'm thinking along the lines of what I can make to present to the shelters here that they can sell to raise money for their costs. :) Thanks for sharing. Happy Friday!

  13. Hi Briony, I think the cat's paws would make great coasters too. Love the photo of Rowan and your rabbit pillow! What a beautiful litter of kitties you have.

  14. I thought of them being sewn on a tote bag. You could do a beautiful cat scene like you do for your glass cases on a larger bag.

I love those tuxedo's. Was one hiding? How many of them are there? Yes, you are much loved!!!

    Happy weekend.

  15. I like the coaster idea also, if too bumpy I suppose you could put them in resin. Your Rowan looks just like my badger. Hubby named him as a kitten cause he looked like a badger but grew into a Sylvester. LJ

  16. Hi again, I went traipsing thru your blog and you do such remarkable work. Your tatting is beautiful. I tried to teach myself but just not handy at it. So sad but that is the awful truth. Hugs, LJ
