JIGSAW THERAPY

I've blogged before about our love of jigsaws and the love is still going strong.
Nothing passes the time like a jigsaw and nothing gives so much pleasure as putting in the final piece.

My favourite jigsaws are WASGIJ,  jigsaw backwards...
The picture you end up with is not the picture on the box but in this one's case, what happens next.
Some are what the people are looking at.

So far so good on this one, should finish it in a couple of days and on to the next

As you can see we have no shortage of them as we buy them each week from the car boot.
This is just some, others are tucked away at the back of the cupboard.

Some girls just can't have enough shoes, with me its jigsaws. LOL

  1. Thanks Briony,

I took care of my folks the last few years of their lives, jigsaws was a big part of that. Mom was beginning dementia and so would often take an hour to find a piece, but so excited when she did. A friend of theirs who actually died of Alzheimer would come by and when I saw him making a fist I knew I had to get involved. If a piece didn't fit TC would use his fist to insert it.
    I love Jigsaws too.

  2. Jigsaws are not my thing, but I certainly admire yours, especially the wasgij, which boggles my mind!

  3. It's been years since I did a puzzle, but the last one I did I thoroughly enjoyed! I've never heard of a WASGIJ. Must keep an eye out.

  4. You must be very good! I don't think I could finish one without the picture to go by. I just bought a bunch of jigsaws at Tuesday Morning. they have quite a few and they are very cheap. The girls like them, and I help when it gets to the last few pieces and is easier. I want to see this one when it is finished, then the mystery will be solved!

    1. Hello Busybusybeejay, yes, we do the thousand pieces. We each have boards that Tom has made with edges to stop the pieces from falling off and they take 1000 plus some room for extra bits around the edge of the puzzle. Surely it must be good for you, at least that's what I am thinking, you are using your co-ordination and it make you concentrate.

  6. I haven't done a jigsaw puzzle in a long time. A while back I thought about buying one and couldn't believe how expensive they were

    1. They are expensive if you buy them new Anne but we get them at the boot sale and I never pay more that £1.00 for them. Get yourself one, I bet you'll enjoy it.

  7. I do a lot of jigsaw puzzles - on my laptop. There isn't enough room in my house for a dedicated jigsaw space. Cool puzzles!

    1. They would help you relax from all your problems Kate, get a bit of hardboard and put it under the bed or sofa when you're not doing it. Our cats tend to want to sit on the board when we are doing them, just have to gently push them off. lol
I can imagine though that a kitten would not be so easy to get off.
