I made mashed potato for dinner this evening, it was lovely.
As we were sitting there after the meal, Tom started laughing and asked me what the time was.
On looking at my watch I was surprised to see a big blob of mash.
How on earth did that get there?
I must be such a sloppy cook, lol
This is quite genuine and a first. I've had dinner down my front and on the floor but never on the wrist watch, lol
The hospital visit went well today and the consultant was lovely.
More scans and tests are to be had and although there is no cure we felt quite positive when we came out.
We're not going to let it get to us as none of us know when the end is and we shall make the most of and enjoy the future.
As you can see, he's in good spirits.
He says thankyou to you all for your kind thoughts.
love your watch or at least i think i do. LOL.... i love a big bold face with really black numbers and this has both. glad he is in good spirits and prayers for both of you
ReplyDeleteGlad you’re both are feeling positive. Have to say rather loving that nice big watch xx
ReplyDeleteYour husband has a nice smile. I hope you both enjoy the year ahead.
ReplyDeleteGlad Tom is in good spirits. A positive attitude has healing properties.
ReplyDeleteMuch love, hugs & prayers for the both of you ~ FlowerLady
Oh that is too funny about the potatoes. Sounds like something I would do.
ReplyDeleteThey do say that laughter is the best medicine so having a positive attitude will go a long way. Glad things went well
That's great news.I think that splat of potato is lucky like a splat of bird poo but nicer xx
ReplyDeleteI love this way of looking at it, let's hope you're right, lol
DeleteSo pleased you had a positive visit. Hope there are plenty things advised for you to do that will help.x
ReplyDeleteHe looks very good, and the consultant must work wonders. So when will all the tests begin? Yes, NONE of us knows how much time we have. No one knows the hour except God. Well, I have finally gotten an apron after over 40 years! But of course in this situation my apron would not help. Plus, I have already splattered it up. Maybe I should just cook naked, then shower?
ReplyDeleteTom does look in good spirits and I must say I like his original fashion sense! He is a lucky man to have you by his side at this anxious time.
ReplyDeleteThe fashion sense is down to the Grandson who showed him how to arrange the scarf he bought him for Christmas. Tom was apparently doing it all wrong, lol
DeleteThe baseball cap came out when I ploughed the furrow through his hair, not sure if you read the post, and he has been wearing it ever since.
How funny! I too can get dinner down my front which can be quite embarrassing sometimes if we are eating out.
ReplyDeleteYour husband looks in good spirits. So pleased things in the positive. Perhaps the splodge of spud is a good omen.

He looks as if he is making the most of life, I love people who live till they die it great and all of us have the same finish.
ReplyDeleteAnd its obviously time for mashed potatoes :)
Ha! I wonder how on earth you got mash on your watch?! Glad to see you're all keeping up the positive energy. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he is keeping his spirits up. That is half the battle. If you get down and only think of the negatives, then you give up. Best wishes to Tom feeling much better.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant positive news, always a worry going for check up and tests, Rebecca is now five years in remission, but it still gets us leading up to and going for the appointments. Positive thinking and enjoy every minute. take care xcx
