SETTLING DOWN.


Now at last things are settling down and we can get on with our different interests.
Tom has got his tapestry back out and is ploughing on with it, he is now about 3/4's the way through and it is looking lovely.  



I am making a sampler page for my fabric journal and really enjoying trying out new stitches gleaned from youtube.


The little fox cub has failed to make another appearance and I think he must have followed the adult when he shouldn't have.
Just hope he got back safely to the den.
It was the last visit to the nurse today for the operation wound, this has healed really well and there are no more appointments on the horizon.
Now all we have to do is enjoy..

    Tom's tapestry is beautiful. He's very good at that. I love your sampler and all the different stitches. So glad to hear that the wound from surgery has healed well and you are done with appointments

    It's such a good feeling to be free of scheduled appointments! It's surprising how stressful those notes on the calendar are, even without the added stress of emergencies.

    Your husband's handwork is beautiful. More men should try crafts, in my opinion. My grandad could crochet very well, and my father used to knit the straight parts of socks for his mother (and left her to do the heels and toes) :)

    I love those stitches you have done. What a good way to practice and to have a record, both.

    I try to interest Mr BH in hobbies , but hes very Kevin the teenager , terribly bored all the time . I know hes very limited in what he can do due to the tremors and lack of feeling. He just wants his rusty, spanner filled life back and it isnt going to happen

    Toms work is beautiful!.I do wish my hubby would have some sort of hobby or interest,but with limited use in his hands and feet now all he seems to want to do is watch television.Glad that Tom has healed well.It must be so nice just to get back to normal life.xx

    You are both very accomplished crafters! Your sampler reminds me of all the pillowcases we used to have while I was growing up. I still have a doll blanket my mom embroidered.

    Beautiful tapestry and I am sure it must be very therapeutic. I am doing hospital trips
    with my husband at the moment which is fine but parking is a nightmare! My little fox came
    during the day yesterday and I notice that she must be nursing her cubs so gave her a good
    meal to help her. SueM

    I love needle point and he has got a great project love it already💛already and your sampler is always a dream to look at. I saw an idea for a cloth book to put some of my tatting in today on pinterest they said to use hankies and I happen to have several, I wonder if you think that would be too thin?

    Love your hubbys tapestry. He has a lot of patience, mine is in a cupboard somewhere from years ago. Your stitching is so lovely. I wish I could stitch by hand but rely on my sewing machine. Hugs, lj
