Yes! We watch a lot of vet shows on T.V., and the cats and dogs that have a leg taken off run and play like they have four legs. They don't seem to care. But I have never seen anything like these kittens. It is still so sad that Princess has had to suffer so much, but maybe now it is over. I am so glad you talked to an orthopedic specialist! How is she now?
That's a heartwarming story; I'm glad the kittens will be in long term care. Love their names, Frog and Newt! I hope Princess is in less pain now that the cast is off, and that she perks up as the next few weeks go by.
My friend always chose an animal, who hasnt had a great start in life as her pet to love. She had a 3 legged cat,who roamed around and just wanted love, food and affection...and food n food, lol. You know what I mean Briony! Some vets can get you so worried and Im so glad that you got a second opinion! I really hope n pray that Princess is taking small steps to recovery because it has been a rough time for her.Love n Hugs to her, from Filbert,Tiggy,Tiara,Storm and Lily..and me!xx
It is amazing what they can overcome. There are so many abandoned and abused pets here and many of them have had to have amputations because of their injuries. :(
wow, amazing

ReplyDeleteThere’s always someone worse off than you are, even if you’re a cat! Good for them though, managing so well.
ReplyDeleteI saw those kittens! Your cat would manage fine I am sure. A worrying time for you tho and with everything else ... Thinking of you all.
ReplyDeleteWow! Animals are amazingly adaptable, aren't they? I've seen plenty of three-legged animals who act as if they have all four!
