TWO PAGES FINISHED FOR FABRIC JOURNAL.

In the recent hot weather it wasn't the best for sewing but now its cooler I've gone back to the work room and hope to get some more of the fabric journal done.

I have now finished the second sampler page  and the ShiSha daisies.

There always has to be a few pearls for me, add a few beads and I think that's finished.
There's always the temptation to keep going with beads but I think that's enough.
Now to take it out of the hoop, trim and add a backing page.

The final row on this sampler page was again some ShiSha mirrors.  Square one's This time in various colours, quite tricky these to get the corners neat.

We're off to see our favourite doggy this  afternoon.  He's had all of his injections now and will be able to go out at the weekend.
He wasn't going to be allowed on the bed...

Whoops..what's this? looks like he's on the bed to me. lol

  2. Your stitching is perfect and the colours blend beautifully. You've inspired me to buy a few small mirrors and have a go. They were cheap from the closing down sale at Poundworld I might add.

  10. You make such beautiful embroidered cloth..... And as for dogs.. I used to babysit my daughters dog when she went out for the night... it always sneaked upstairs and climbed into bed with me. I would wake up with a dog on one side and a child on the other

Lovely work Briony and lovely little pup too!.Oh we all have rules about not on the bed n the furniture...it never last, lol.Remember I said that my Daughter had bought a Labrador pup...well now she has bought his sister aswell!!.When I went round last night,I thought I was seeing things!.One puppy came running up to me closely followed by another identical one!!.It seems that she was the last one and hadnt got a forever home yet...well she has now! Harley is delighted to have his sister Pippa living with him.We are taking them both for a walk this afternoon so my bag full of doggy stuff that i take with me has had to have more things added to it!xx

    1. Hi Deb, My Daughter would have loved to have two doggies but at £750 each it was not possible. We would love a dog of our own but it wouldn't be fair at our age, sadly the dog would probably outlive us, as it is we have to keep going for a few more years for the cats, they are all 10 years old now and it worries me what would happen to them if we both popped off. lol

    2. I know what you mean Briony.I worry about my cats outliving me aswell,I am 63 n Hubby nearly 70. 3 of them are 6 n half and the other 2.. 7 n half.My last cat that I had years ago lived to be nearly 20!.My Daughters friend was selling the pups,so she got them for £3OO each instead of the £600 each that she was asking for them. Its nice to be able to take them out...then give them back!xx

  13. Both of those pages are beautiful. I love how the background on the first one looks.
That little pup has his new owners wrapped around his paw already. I wouldn't be able to resist letting him on the bed either

  14. I hereby challenge you to sew/embroider a picture of your new grandson - Bo! All you need is a good photo to work with and you have already taken a few of those. Please capture him while he is still a puppy.

  15. I love your work Briony especially the grapes! I bought some shisha mirrors ages ago but haven't got round to using them yet. Do you know of a good tutorial I could follow on how to attach them? Bo looks like a sweet little lamb in the bed! :)
