LAUGHTER

Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease. Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.

And so with that in mind I have ordered the box set of 'Allo'Allo'
I watched a small bit on Youtube and laughed so much I thought I'd get the set.
Some days when Tom is not so good we need to keep positive and cheerful.  We've always seen the funny side of most things and this is important if we want our lives to remain happy.
No matter what is wrong, if we can laugh then we can get through anything.

By the way, the new mouth guard it apparently going to cost our daughter around £70.00
This doggie can get away with anything, lol

  1. oh noooo on the cost of the mouth piece, she will have to find a place to leave it high out of doggie reach. I now thaw my bread on top of the toaster oven and NEVER leave food where BB can reach it... agree 100 percent about laugher needed and how much it helps

  2. You are so strong and have such a wonderful attitude! We just HAVE to have laughter to get through life. I have never heard of this show! You make it sound so good! Is it a BBC comedy, or PBS? Half hour comedies? I may have to buy it. Have you ever seen "Keeping Up Appearances" They are hilarious, we love them. PBS.

  5. Absolutely. I was listening to The Trout in the car today when the bit came on that they used for the title music for Waiting for God. I used to love that series and had forgotten all about it.

  6. Laughter is vital, in my opinion. To be able to see the humour in things, even in hard things, is a gift that can help us get through those bad times. And when there is nothing funny to be found, a series like the one you've mentioned can help a lot.

Maybe doggie is teething? When I was a teen, our pup chewed one of my mother's brand-new leather shoes. We weren't well off, she needed them for work, she was not impressed :) But a dog knows nothing of all that!

  8. My favorite shows are comedies and I am always happy to find a new comedy TV series, I will check out the one you recommend. I am watching all the seasons of Still Game, very funny.

  9. We used to watch ‘Allo Allo’ when it was on public television here. It was funny... very silly... like many British comedies, but it definitely made you laugh. As for the mouth piece, my daughter also has one and 2 large dogs that can reach anything. I will warn her.

  15. I'm a 'laugher'. I tend to see the funny side of everything. I often see my wife sitting 'stony-faced' as I laugh my head off, over some silly TV comedy show. It takes all sorts!
