I really do not like routine but we seem to have somehow got ourselves into one.
Every morning we get up, put on the kettle and make ourselves breakfast.
While we are sitting trying to enjoy the first meal of the day we have at least three of THEM skulking around in wait.
What are they waiting for?
Well, the daily brush by Joseph. lol
We bought this one in Ikea some time ago and every time he goes into hospital he is always the butt of the joke over this dressing gown.
See Mummy Polly and Willow waiting for their turn while Princess lords it on the worktop.
Rupert and Rowan will be here later don't worry.
The worktop does get a clean down after in case anyone is thinking how unhygienic it is, lol
You can never have too much colour! I love the queue for the daily brushing - it is obviously a lovely experience for them all.

I've always clung to my routines a little too tightly which makes for unpleasant times when unexpected things come up.
ReplyDeleteLove the color in the dressing gown.
Any chance of a similar photo of you in your short silky kimono with peacocks embroidered across the bodice? But please take the hair rollers out first!
ReplyDeleteLove the dressing gown, I wish I was braver with colour.
ReplyDeletelol I once had a cotton dressing gown in similar colours. Picked it up for a song in a sale - it was worn and washed for years never seeming to wear out. Short of cash one year I ended up usmaking my two youngest son's simple play shorts for the garden from it. They loved their rainbow shorts!
ReplyDeleteI call my striped (charity knit) jumpers Joseph's- they are usually made from an assortment of coloured wool
I have a very colorful dressing gown (American: bathrobe) too! I love your enthusiastic use of color all over your house.
ReplyDeleteit really does look like Joseph's coat of many colors and is appropriate attire for brushing the cats... love the robe and the cats
ReplyDeleteIt looks smashing. I do love a splash or two of colour, especially in winter when everything is grey and drab
ReplyDeleteYour title gave me a good belly laugh! I like the dressing gown, it is cheerful and not boring! I also really like the fabric curtains hanging in front of your cabinets, it is so pretty! Funny how just a few minutes of your life can cheer me up!
ReplyDeleteObviously your husband knows how to brush a cat properly. Even the feistiest cat will enjoy it when it's done right. My neighbour pulls hard at the knots in her cat's fur and then wonders why the poor cat runs away! Love the use of colour in your lives.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dressing gown AND lino x x
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy the colors in your house and this bathrobe is no exception! I hope your new year is off to a great start.
ReplyDeleteI just love your floor every time I see it.
ReplyDeleteNice, colorful robe! Jingles begs to be brushed and leads me to the bathroom where her comb is every day. :)
ReplyDeleteLove to see some pictures of Jingles, haven't seen him for ages. Glad you are blogging again Tammy, always read even though I do not always comment. HOpe you are well. Briony

ReplyDeleteI often think that we are mad here, we pander to these cats and I'm sure they know it.LOL
