SETTLING DOWN AGAIN.

Once again, thanks for all of your lovely comments.
We are settling down again and hoping that things stay calm here.
I should be used to it really as I worked out that Tom has been in Hospital 12 times for various serious illnesses over the years that we have been married, this is not counting the outpatients that we have attended.
We have the bag permanently packed for these occasions, lol

Of course this doesn't trouble any of the furry family as you can see by Rupert lounging on the covers that are supposed to protect the leather sofa (they don't as they still manage to scratch the arms. lol)  I need to get the man up to do some scratch repairs, I took out an insurance just for this purpose but I'm sure the man doesn't realise how many time he's going to be visiting us, lol

Any way, the crochet is coming along nicely.
Some time ago I bought a whole lot of 'The Art of Crochet' yarn at the car boot and it's perfect for making these madala's as the colours are so  lovely and bright.

Notice the chocs and the scrabble dictionary, these are requirements for sitting at the desk.
I'm juggling crochet, scrabble, solitaire and reading blogs and need the sustenance of chocolate to keep me going, lol

Here's the first one finished, this is going to take some beating  as its so pretty.

This one is almost complete but I am jumping for joy as I suddenly thought I could embellish these Mandala's with beads etc.  You know what I'm like with beads and lace etc.
I've already put a bit of gold on this one in chain stitch and it had lifted a simple pattern.
Watch this space I can see a few gold beads going on this one.

  4. the beads will look super, as does the cat on the leopard. ha ha... our leather sofa is one mass of scratches, they only show if i take photos. no one sees it but us, so i don't even bother with fixing them. ours are dog claw scratches not cats, but 4 dogs have made a mess.

  5. Oh my -- I seem to have missed some drama! I'll keep reading to catch up. Glad things are settling down. Your mandalas are looking great (and even better, I'm sure, with some more ornamentation). I love the leopard-patterned couch protector!

  7. So glad things are settling down for you both.....and happy the kitties are fine too! Your mandalas are beautiful, the 2nd one my favourite. Nice to see someone else juggling a few things at once.....I can't just sit & do one thing either....and it's always better when chocolate is involved! x

  8. I'm glad to hear that things have settled back down for you both again. I've given up trying to protect my new leather sofas, I put throws on them but Archie just moves them out of the way. The mandalas are fabulous.
