THAT TOOK A LONG TIME

I have owned a small Fuji Film camera for years that has served me well.
I keep it in the work room and still use it upstairs if I can't be bothered to go downstairs for my 'best' camera.
It still takes nice photos but in all the years I have owned it all I have done is point and shoot.
This morning we have both been upstairs, Tom crocheting and me piddling about when I decided to have a go at the video to show Princess breathing underneath the bed cover.
This wasn't successful and I was messing about and found the Panoramic feature.

Well, I am pleased with myself, lol
Just look at that.
My messy desk full of balls of wool currently in use for the cat picture,  see the cat squares on the board underneath the printer and then Tom concentrating hard on his crochet.

He has the kindle open on the pattern and his little notebook for jotting down the rows.
There's only one problem with him being in the same room as me and that is, I like talking and he needs to concentrate so I am finding it difficult to stay quiet. lol

As you can see, I have a few more cats made and one even has eyes.
7 more squares and 10 more cats to make.
I'm thinking more wall hanging than cushion.
For one thing cushions don't last long in this house as the cats find a way of wrecking them so a backing and on the wall I think.

  3. I find it difficult to not talk and that is anywhere i go. the one time i do not want to talk or be talked to is when watching a movie on TV... bob talks over what they are saying all the time. the fuji did a good job on the panorama or maybe i should say YOU did a good job

  5. Yes a wall hanging would be lovely, well done on discovering the Panoramic feature on your camera, I have fiddled with mine on numerous occasions and found various features but because I rarely use it I forget how to find them again haha, using my phone is so much easier. I hope you have a lovely weekend. xx

  6. Poor Tom! How many Briony words has he had to listen to in his life? Millions of them. If all those words were chained together they would reach the planet Neptune and then some. You've got more rabbit than Sainsbury's!

    1. Tom has the patience of a saint and is a man of few words. Totally the opposite to me.
Not sure how we have managed to be together for 59 years.

  7. I love the cat with eyes and the idea that all the rest are (currently) facing away and he is the outlier! lol

My husband and I are the same; if only he could talk more and I could talk less things would be more balanced :)

    1. I'm not sure if I would like it if he was any different Jenny. When he does answer back or raise his voice ( very, very occasionally) I am stunned, lol

  8. Your cat throw/blanket is coming along nicely. I think its brilliant that he's well into his crochet Pug, I hope we get to see the finished article.

  12. That would be a problem with one needing quiet and the other wanting to talk. It depends on what I'm doing whether or not I need the quiet. If I were doing something like crocheting where I need to keep track of stitches and rows I would need to concentrate on that.

  13. Very cute cat crochet! I'm currently working on a crochet baby blanket... not nearly as cute as the little cat squares! And I do understand how one needs to concentrate when following a pattern. If I'm watching TV and crocheting, I have to be doing something that simply continues the same stitch and needs no concentration.

  14. I love your pano shot and your colorful cat squares! It's hard when one person is a talker and the other is...not. Fortunately you have a blog so you can "talk" to all of us!

  15. I love it that your husband crochets, Briony. My brother (RIP) used to crochet back in the 1960s and I thought it was neat back then too, that a man was crocheting. I'm one of those "silence people" too, so I can sympathize with your hubby... but I can also appreciate you, who is trying to be conscious of the fact that he's a silence person. It sounds like you're a perfect pair! :-) Love, Andrea xoxo

  17. Your cat squares are so cute. Nice to see you both crafting together. I have no problem not talking. My husband and I rarely sit in the same room together since we are interested in different things. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. :/ Have a blessed day.

  19. Your crochet cats are delightful Briony. For a practical purpose they could be made into a teapot cosy! x
