I have just found out the 'Bob the street cat' has died. He was around 14 years old and gave a lovely homeless man a purpose to his life.
If you haven't read the book, I recommend it.
the book is called
A street cat named Bob
and is a wonderful read.
I'm so sad this evening and hope that James his owner can get along without him.
That is sad, but just think what a wonderful outcome for both of them after they met. His life was worthwhile. That photo is quite poignant, it makes me happy/sad too.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww... :'( 14 years old is a long life for a cat but still... his loss is felt. To be mourned by so many, when passing from this earth, is all that any of us can ask for, isn't it. Rest in peace, Bob! Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteDoes James live nearby, or do you know about this from reading the book? We love cats, and books about cats. I am buying it! We just bought a real good book called "James Herriot's Cat Stories".
ReplyDeleteI do not know him personally Ginny but read the book a while ago. I know you will enjoy it.

ReplyDeleteVery sad. I read the books and at the time wondered how James would cope without the cat. Hope he doesnt relapse.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cat! I am sure they both made each other happy and their time together
ReplyDeleteI actually saw Bob and his owner in Covent Garden once, not long after we moved here, and photographed them together!
