Foxy is finished and ready for sewing up. I won't be making another one of these in the near future, my eyes were out on organ stops even with the magnifier, lol
Still, he's turned out really cute and I'm pleased.
In the past things haven't always turned out and have ended up in the bin.
Will show when he's finished.
Yesterday we went out to get a cup of coffee just to a break up the day.
Waitrose cafe has not reopened since the thingy so we went to Sainsbury. Oh no, that was closed as well , apparently the numbers went up?
So we saved a bit of cash and went home.
I'm getting to the point where I don't even want to go out.
The whole atmosphere everywhere is doom and gloom.
People peering over their masks, so many rules and regulations to follow, it's easier to stay in and do our jigsaws.
So after foxy is sewn up that's what I'm doing today.

Such neat work! Foxy is going to be gorgeous. A shame you can’t even go out for a cup of coffee!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing foxy.
ReplyDeleteEyes on organ stops! Never heard that before but so evocative, a perfect saying. Shame about the coffee - it's such a simple thing isn't it, to enjoy a coffee in some different surroundings. I personally like a small arty café with a personable owner, and some bookshelves, or a small gallery of changing artworks, or a good view of water (water always does it - take a flask of coffee and go somewhere you can get a good view of water, and watch the light change on the water. Never stop enjoying going out.)
ReplyDeleteMr T sends meows to all the feline cousins.
Lol,my Dad used to say eyes like chapel hat pegs!.Your fox is lovely and I wished that I lived nearer to you because I would have bought that fox off you in a heart beat. The Foxes is Leicester City, where we live, logo. My Grandson would have loved to have had that pined to his Leicester City hat or jacket.I guess that I will have to try and learn how to do one!,xx
DeleteFox will make a great blog photograph.
ReplyDeleteHow annoying that you couldn't get your coffee break, when you'd gone to the trouble of going out for one. Especially when it's an activity that has to be so planned for safety nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. I'm happy to stay home these days.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely see your fox coming together! Can't wait to see the finished product!
Looking forward to seeing Foxy! I have to force myself to go out but I try and choose places and times when there aren't too many people about. I always feel better for my walk though. I like Tiggers suggestion to take a flask of coffee/tea and go out somewhere....park...woods or lakeside or other. keep well Amanda x
ReplyDeleteI love the description of your eyes out on organ stops I can see that in my head. And it's a perfect way to describe it! I can't wait to see foxy what we saw is looking really cute. Sorry you did not get to go out for your coffee. I can't really relate because I have never had coffee and a coffee shop. We prefer our coffee at home because we're picky about what it tastes like and I'm also cheap to the Bone and won't pay the price of coffee in a coffee shop. I have had coffee in a restaurant while eating lunch or breakfast but never just a coffee shop. No Starbucks no Dunkin Donuts no McDonald's no fast food none of that. And I agree with what you said there is so much demand gloom and everybody is so mean and everybody's gotten this I don't care attitude and the traffic people drive different the pandemic has ruined our world and politics along with it
ReplyDeleteYes, things are hard and this "virus life" is hard to take sometimes. Can you make coffee, put it in traveling mugs, and go to a park to sit and sip? Your little Foxy is going to be GORGEOUS, Briony!! I love him already!! Hang in there, kiddo! ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI don't think Sainsbury's have opened any of their cafes yet, don't know why. I'm like you, I still don't really go anywhere and only go to do the food shopping, don't wander round town browsing, can't be bothered. Looking forward to seeing foxy :-)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see him all finished! Well, us seniors are not supposed to go anywhere unless we really have to. For us, that includes grocery stores and doctor appointments. As long as we all stay healthy, I am not complaining.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see foxy all sewed up. I don't go many places any more. I hate all the restrictions
ReplyDeletelol my eyes would be bulging if I tried anything that small. He’s going to be a great addition to the menagerie when he’s finally finished. Don’t forget the show and tell’ time will you.
ReplyDeleteBriony...if the weathers not too bad I second the suggestion of taking a flask and sitting on the sea front....unless all the benches have been taped off ((which is what happened here). Pop your mask on and get some fresh air.
Going to rake out our take out mugs and do as you all say, make a cappo and take it out. Why didn't I think of that ??? lol

I have seen this fox befor and love it😁
ReplyDeleteI'm the same, I stay at home, and things arrive in the post to keep me busy. I knitted a rabbit earlier in the year, I must stitch it together, not my favorite job.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if your rabbit is the one I've seen online, its knitted and so life like, I fancy having a go at that one but need to get the appropriate yarn first.

Well its certainly looking good so far. We are happy to stay home, I must admit. I can always find something to do. We take a little drive and stop with a coffee which is quite a treat and so much easier than trying to find somewhere to sit in a cafe.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this "thingy" to which you refer madam? Is something going on that I have not heard about?
ReplyDeleteI can't bear to say the word I'm so sick of it all and so refer to you know what as 'the thingy'
