I FEEL A FOX COMING ON.

I'm getting my creative side back again thank goodness.
I feel so much better when I'm making something, anything will do, lol
Why I can't realise this when I'm in the doldrums I don't know, just not thinking  clearly I guess.

I now have 10 crochet bunting flags finished so just need to join them together and add the tassels.
But, true to form I have started another project (maybe this is why I get in a pickle, maybe I should do one thing at a time, lol)
This new crochet project is a tiny fox brooch.

I went up to bed the other night and decided that I wasn't tired so started the little fox.
Don't look at the dust on the magnifier, it's since been dusted, thought my eyes had deteriorated for a moment, lol

There we are, all dusted and clear nd working with it in the daytime.
I need this magnifier and my reading glassed at the same time to work on this as it is so tiny.
I'm using DMC Cebelia No10 cotton and a size 1.75 hook.

Here is his little head complete with ears. We won't talk about how fiddly the ears were but suffice to say I will only be making one of these brooches.

This is how he will look when finished.
I think my printer is running out of ink as there are lines on the photocopy but you can get an idea.
Cute isn't he?

  1. Oh, he is so cute! I often have several projects on the go at any one time (as I do with books, unless one particularly grabs my attention).
I look forward to seeing Mr Fox when he is finished.
Best wishes and enjoy a crafty week

    1. I like the idea of a little home of my own, I usually escape upstairs to my craft room when I need space.

  3. Remarkably, given my distaste for dogs, I the Tigger get on rather well with foxes. There used to be a tame-ish one living at our allotments. Never mind the eyes, how do you get your hands to manipulate something that small?
BTw - your wouldn't be an Aries birth sign would you? This many things on the go seems to be a feature that has been brought to my attention by an Arien friend called aunty-Roz.

I guess you will see by now that I know a bit about Astrology. lol
My Daughter is an Aries but hasn't a creative bone in her body. lol

    2. As for my hands, I do have arthritis but gratefully I still seem to be able to do these tiddly things. I think it's more patience than anything and I have it for crafts but not for other things, ask Tom, lol

  8. OH, this may be your cutest yet! It is awesome. I love foxes, and have only seen one in the wild close up. They are so beautiful. Do you ever sell any of your work, or would you?

    1. Hi Ginny, I do not usually sell my work. I have often thought of it but I don't like making more than one of anything. Glad you like the little fox.
