HORRIBLE WEEKEND

On Saturday we went to the prom and had fish and chips, all was well.

Later in the evening Tom has pains in his stomach and went to bed, he was up most of the night being sick.

I had the same food as am okay so it must be a bug.

This morning he is feeling a little better and the pains are subsiding, he has just tried a little toast and we are waiting to see if it remains inside. lol

Sometimes it seems that life throws us too much to cope with and the strength that you need leaves you for a bit.

We seem to just get over one episode and another comes along.

I guess it's not just us, it happens to everyone but I wish it didn't.

Meanwhile I'll leave you with this lot who really don't care a hoot if Dad's sick as long as they have their food on time, lol

  2. My cat often knows when I am feeling a bit under the weather, she is much closer to me and often does not want to leave my lap.

  4. Poor Tom. It's awful when sleep is interrupted. I'm beginning to realise that the older you get the aches and pains are magnified. Ooooh my aching back this morning.

  6. oh wow we how he recovers quickly and without lasting effects. Mr B has had a series of setbacks lately so we understand how one thing can pile in on top of another. Look at all that delightful black and white furriness! furrings and purrings from Mr T

  9. Peaceful picture. I thought for a moment there were six. Hope the bug is a quick one.

  12. So true so true about things happening and happening and happening again. I hope that toast is saying down and that you don't get whatever he had

  15. The food you had might have been from a different batch than the food Tom had, Briony... so maybe it was food poisoning after all. I sure hope your hubby feels better soon. You both have had more-than-enough to deal with, that's for certain. Yes, sometimes life throws us curveballs and we don't know where we're going to get the energy for yet another "thing"... but we manage, don't we. Pooey! I'm hoping for a bright week for you both. ~Andrea xoxo

  16. O dear. Do hope he is better soon. These things seem even worse during the pandemic when getting to "see" a doctor is difficult and the thought of a trip to A&E is not something you want to do.

  18. OMG, I love that pic of your cats! And they are black and whites (my favorite!) Reminds me of the one where our 7 are laying on our bed. Oh... and I hope your hubby feels better soon.

  20. EEEUUUUW! That's the most unpleasant sort of illness! I keep activated charcoal capsules on hand--they are a go-to for gastro-intestinal upsets--anything from eating a wrong combination of food that doesn't set well, to dealing with a grippe ailment. Of course it depends initially on whether one could 'keep down' the capsules. I find that taking them at intervals through the day after such a siege has a settling effect--I think the charcoal absorbs the toxins that cause distress.
    Love the cat group!

  24. I could almost replicate that pic of your cats. My Oscar is mainly black with some white. Micky from down the road is half black half white. Then another wandering cat turned up in the garden, all black. All of them sunning themselves, and none of them like each other very much.
