NEW CROCHET PROJECT

For some time now I have been hankering after doing some more crochet.

I didn't want to make any more granny squares and  I've had enough of amigurami.

I trawled through Pinterest and found that Deramores did a granny square blanket with a difference and you could buy the kit.

So I thought I'd use some of my Birthday money to buy the kit and it came a couple of days ago.

Here is some of the yarn on the desk getting marked up with the relevant letters so that I know what to look for.
Lovely yarn and gorgeous colours.  I'm really pleased and can't wait to get going.

After marking it I wanted to put what I am not using right now back into the box but had to wait a while as it was occupied. lol

Will keep you updated with my progress.

  5. What gorgeous colors of yarn! That kit was a great idea to get. I have admired those grannies-with-a-difference throws so much but would be unable to do them without a kit! Ha ha, here's another "kit" - your "kit-ty" that says, "If I fits, I sits" in the box!

  6. It is like a modern updated version of Granny Squares. I like it much better than the traditional kind.

  8. Isn't it great to sometime have someone else run the colours experiment, settle on a good one and you can just buy into it? As for the box, that isn't yours now; you have to find somewhere else to keep the yarn - or risk having cat fur deposited amongst it. Mr T would actually physically dig it out again if he had adopted the box. xxxx F & Mr T

    1. I put the yarn back in the box and firmly shut the top, otherwise they certainly would dig it all out. x

  13. Oh that's pretty cool looking. Can't wait to see how yours comes out.
You mean that box wasn't meant for the cats to enjoy?

  14. Those colors are beautiful. That should be a fun project, a little more challenging than the usual granny squares. Was there ever a cat who could resist a box? I don't think so.
