CROCHET SPINNERS

Recently I came across' Crochet Spinners' on this lovely blog

https://lindacraftycorner.blogspot.com/

And so to take a break from the throw I thought I'd have a go.

Here's the start of one

Nice little stack.

Pulled open with a lot of interest from Polly.   I have to finish it but isn't it pretty.
These can be used in the garden or in the home, of course not too good in the rain you would have to keep an eye on the weather in the Summer and bring them in.

No 2 Spinner in the making.
I can see me making several of these.

  3. Could they be made out of raffia-like twine for better weatherproof-ness?

  8. They must be a world wide ‘take our mind off this ghastly pandemic’ thing at the moment- like the teddy bears in the window, rainbows on the fence and wooden spoon gardens were. The spinners are appearing in trees, bushes and any other hanging space down here - looking bright and cheerful and putting a smile on peoples faces.

  15. Aren't they just wonderful those spinners Briony and from what I see so addictive. Such lovely colours! They have become the latest craze on the Random Act of Crochet Kindness group. Members there are making smaller ones to leave out for people. I still haven't made one yet and I want to as I think one would look good hanging in my balcony garden I just always seem to have makes to finish for other people. I am weak I must say no to my family occasionally LOL! I bet your cats find them particularly interesting! Keep well. Amanda x
