On top of all what is happening here. This morning Willow had a kind of mini stroke or something.
I was sitting on the edge of the bed getting myself together for the day and she was rolling around in the doorway, I thought she was playing but it turned out that she was trying to stand up.
Each time she stood up she fell over and when she finally stood her back legs were all over the place.
Once she got going she seemed okay but I dashed and make an appointment with the vet for 11.30.
The vet couldn't find anything really wrong, she has a heart murmur but nothing else and so I have her back home and keeping a close watch on her.
If it were a blood clot it would mean medication and from what I have read the outcome is not good.
So for now, let's hope it was a one of.

We are still getting all the paperwork sorted for Tom, we now have and interim certificate that allows us to get things done but the coroners report will take several weeks.

Sending hugs for you and Willow, give her loads of cuddles. You are going through a hard time, but here in blog land we are watching over you xxx.
ReplyDeleteThat sort of happened with one of my cats. He couldn't stay on his feet for a few minutes after getting up. By the time we got him to the vet he was fine and nothing wrong! He had been sleeping for a long time and I guess he was just stiff from laying down too long!
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness! Our vet told us that when our cat has something like this, to video it on the phone so we can show them at the appointment. I hope it doesn't happen again, but if so, you could do this. My goodness, as if you don't have enough to deal with without a late coroner report! I am so sorry.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Briony! I hope that it was a one off episode. So sorry for the load you are having to carry right now. Take care. x
ReplyDeleteI am guessing that this means Tom's funeral won't be happening any time soon. You and your family need the funeral to happen so that you can start to move on just as Tom would have wished. At present it is as if you are all in limbo.
ReplyDeleteOh no, poor Willow - and an added worry for you, just when you don't need anything else. Thinking of you Briony xx
ReplyDeleteSurely a difficult time and you don't need the extra stress of a poorly cat. I hope it was an isolated event.
ReplyDeleteYou are having such a bad run. I hope poor Willow is o.k. and that you are able to move ahead with Tom's funeral soon. It must be so hard being in limbo like that.
ReplyDeletePoor little Willow and poor you, that was scary. I hope she is ok with no further problems.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, sorry Briony, I hope Willow will be fine. Our dog had a mini stroke a while ago, made a full recovery.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Willow and I know it was absolutely terrifying. I do hope it was just one time and that it does not happen again and that Willow is fine. And I hope they will get through with the corners report so that you can move on but I'm happy to hear that they did give you a certificate to use while you wait
ReplyDeleteI hope that Willow is OK again - that is one extra worry you could really do without. All you can do is take one day at a time...
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
Ellie

ReplyDeleteOh dear, I hope there are no further problems with Willow. Some days, one more thing just seems too much to bear. Holding you in my thoughts, Briony. xx
