With four cats in the house the molting season isn't looked forward to.
Everything is covered with shed hair and it really gets on my nerves.
My son in law gave me a gift of a pet hair remover the other day and I have to say that it's the best thing ever.
These little tools are available on Amazon and probably other places.
If you have cats or dogs and need to remove hair this is the best thing.
I wouldn't use it on delicate fabrics but for upholstery its wonderful.
Just thought I'd pass it on.

Briony, someone told us to use a plastic sponge (dry) - (you know, the kind sold with a green scrubber on one side) - and wipe fabrics etc with the sponge to remove pet hair. It works really well and might be kinder to delicate fabrics. We have never tried the one you have but might get one.
ReplyDeleteLuckily my Toby is a Yorkie and they don´t shed hair, although giving him a haircut every few weeks is a chore!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has a white long haired cat. Whenever I go over there the cat spends lots of time next to me getting ear scritches and belly rubs. All the while, white hair is flying all around and I try not to breathe it in...lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, I'm going to Amazon to look for it!
ReplyDeleteThat looks very handy.
ReplyDeleteI have a rug in the sitting room, which both cats love, I hoover everyday, I do comb Grace my old cat, she hates being groomed, but now she is 18, she has forgotten that fact and allows me to do her. Purdy won't come close to me, she can sense when I have the brush or comb.
ReplyDeletethat is a neat little cat hair rake, and i like the idea of the sponge also. we don't need it, Beau has short hair and our sofas are leather. I do have to constantly clean slobber marks/stains off the leather
ReplyDeleteI never knew such a thing existed! I could have used it when I had cats. Fortunately Olga has very short hair and doesn't shed much.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think I've got it bad with one black cat who has a penchant for snoozing on anything white! Arilx
ReplyDeleteI have one of those and did a post on my blog a while back on how wonderful it is!
ReplyDeleteWill you be saving the harvested cat hair, spinning it and then knitting a nice scarf with it?
ReplyDeleteI have one of those - two actually - and yes, they are brilliant, for human as well as pet hair - and they work superbly on carpets!
ReplyDeleteIt can be so hard to get pet hair up but it looks like this works well.
